Best sizes for KDP
Use Portrait (1024×1536) for interior pages. KDP's most popular trim size is 8.5" × 11". Use the Export & Publish button to get exact KDP dimensions.
DPI for printing
Always select 300 DPI or higher for print. KDP requires a minimum 300 DPI. The 600 DPI option gives the sharpest result for fine linework.
Better prompts = better images
Be specific. "A mandala surrounded by tropical flowers and butterflies" generates much better images than just "flowers". Add adjectives and scene details.
Add puzzle pages for variety
